666 Roulette System - Everything you Need to Know

Last updated: 05.04.2024 by Andrew Shepard

The roulette game is one of the oldest gambling games in the world. In all these years, roulette has been called by many names, but the game of the devil is for sure one of the most intense. Roulette was actually called by this name because if you add all the numbers together, you will get the number 666 as a result. That said, today, we are going to talk about a well-known high-risk roulette strategy that many of you may have heard of as the 666 roulette system.

666 Roulette System - How Does it Work

The 666 roulette system is a pretty straightforward non-progressive system that requires you to stake multiple bets in the same round. Let’s see how the bets will take place:

  • Place 36 units on the Red
  • Now you have to bet 4 units on every one of these 6 splits: 0+2, 8+11, 17+20, 26+29, 10+13, and 28+31.
  • Finally, wager 2 units each on three of the uncovered black numbers. You can choose any three of the uncovered black numbers you want.
66 System Works

If you are finished with placing your bets, you are now able to see that this system covers 33 of the total 37 numbers of European roulette. In other words, the odds of winning a round with these bets is 89.19%. As we have placed 66 units in total, let’s find out what the results could give us back:

  • The ball lands on one of our 6 split bets. This will give us a 6 units profit and comes with a 32.43% odds to happen.
  • Now let’s assume that the ball stops on one of our 3 straight-up bets. This will also give us 6 units profit but comes with an 8.11% chance to happen.
  • With 48.65% odds to happen, the red win gives us also a 6 units profit.
  • Finally, with a 10.81% chance of happening, we lose all of our bets. This round will result in a loss of 66 units.

With some simple maths, we easily understand that we need 11 consecutive wins to deal with a single loss. Let’s go a bit forward and see this system applied in five fictitious rounds.

  • Spin 1

The winning number of the first spin is the number 10. This is a number we have bet on our splits, so we gain 6 units.

  • Spin 2

The ball stops on the number 35, which is one of our straight-up bets. Another 6 units profit and now we have 12 units profit in total.

  • Spin 3

The 3rd spin ends with the ball landing on the 19 number, which is a red number. This means we gain another 6 units profit and we now have 18 units profit so far.

  • Spin 4

Unfortunately, the ball in the spin 4 lands in the number 4. As we don't bet on number 4, we lose 66 units in this round, and we now have a loss of 48 units in total.

  • Spin 5

On the final spin, the ball hit the number 31, which is one of our split bets, so we gain 6 units of profit. Summarising the results of all 5 spins, we have a total loss of 42 units.

The Results of Testing 666 Roulette System

However, a 5 spins simulation will not give enough information for a solid result. With that in mind, we decided to run a test that will see how the 666 roulette system performs in 1.000 spins. According to statistics and maths, at the end of all spins, we should have 892 wins and 108 losses. If this proves to be true, we will gain 5.352 units from our wins, and we will lose 7.128 units from our losses. In other words, if we depend on the possibilities, the 666 roulette system will also fail when it comes to the long run.

However, we will run this strategy to a random simulation system to see what will happen. For the purposes of this test, we add four different fictitious players, and each of them will begin with a bankroll of £1.000. Let’s see how they will do in a 1.000 spins run.

Testing the 666 System

As we can see, three out of the four players experienced a bust-out after approximately 400 rounds. However, player number 4 managed to increase his balance to £1.570 after 400 spins. Of course, after the first 400 spins, player 4 also started to decline his balance and eventually lost all of his bankrolls after 800 spins.

Summing up, we can see that the 666 roulette strategy proves to be unsustainable when it comes to the long run. Of course, our tests show that a player can have a winning streak in the short term. To make a long story short: there are several better roulette strategies out there.

666 Roulette System Shortcomings

Even though the 666 roulette system comes with an 89.19% chance of winning spins, our tests show that it is very hard to deal with the 66 units' loss of the lost rounds. Based on mathematics, the 666 roulette system will always end up losing in the long run. Of course, you may be able to deal with a single loss round, but what will happen if you experience back-to-back lost rounds?

Finally, another important disadvantage of the 666 strategy is that you have to start playing with a large bankroll from the beginning. The 66 units required for every round isn’t a small stake, whatever amount of pounds you choose to be as your unit.

Conclusion

In a few words, the 666 roulette strategy shouldn’t take so much attention from roulette players around the world. After all, every player wants to have a profit at the end of the day, and this system doesn’t have the ingredients to succeed in the long run.

As we said earlier, a player needs to win 11 consecutive rounds to manage the loss of one lost spin. With that said, the 666 roulette system seems to not perform well in either the long or short run.
